Our Different types of Grinds:
Whole Bean: Thats it!! The bean, the whole bean and nothing but the bean. No grinding. It's a do-it-yourself kind of thing... Fresh!!
Regular Grind: Drip
grind - similar to granulated sugar in texture. Water is
in contact with the grounds for a bit longer before draining
out. Used in regular over-the-counter coffee pots
Percolator or Coarse Grind - water
is in contact with the coffee grounds for the longest period of time and so the
coffee particles are at the coarsest setting. This is used for percolators,
press pots and cold water brewers.
Espresso Grind - A
fine grind for water that is forced through the coffee at a rapid pace under
pressure. The main difference between espresso coffee and drip coffee grinding is the fineness of the grind and the brewing time. The brewing time for espresso coffee is much shorter
Cone Grind -
For Cone coffee makers. Short contact time but not under pressure. It's for cone-shaped filters.
